Norton and such is going to conflict with Windows Defender, etc. There's only one Mayor per city...and for good reason. You don't want a lot of people in control at the same time. It causes problems.
Microsoft made the following analogy:
Car companies make all 4 wheel for their cars. If 4 different companies made the 4 different wheels, the car would not ride very well. If Microsoft security is working within a Microsoft OS, things will work more smoothly.
