AVG free at www.grisoft.com ( the free version ). Norton used to be a leader, but it fails at time to detect and or remove some virus, and they are a resource hog ( even on burly systems ), some deinstalls and installs can bork a system. McAffee is also slow and occosainlally lets one slip thruoghthe cracks. Every system I have ever worked on I remove either McAfee or Norton and install AVG. not only does it update automatically, there is no yearly subscription to pay for.

I have been usuing Norton Internet Security for many years. I have the current version 2006 it combines antivirus with firewall protection and works great. Will also remove any viruses that may already be on your computer. Easy to use and works great.
First of all, I'd like to say that anyone who thinks norton is the best is retarded. PUT A HELMET ON!!!
