Do I need norton antivirus?

My subscription has just run out but i also have avg running on my computer an ad-aware and spybot. Can i stop using norton antvirus and get a free firewall online or is there something else i need to have.

You should not have 2 antivirus programs running at the same time...they will conflict with each other and severely slow down your computer. Uninstall Norton...it's crap anyway. If you want a good firewall, use ZoneAlarm...it's free too.

NO - I have lost count of the number of freinds who have had issues with the free Norton trial product.

Make sure you completely remove Norton from your system and use AVG - set AVG to check for updates everytime you connect and you wont go far wrong
norton antivirus uses to many resources slowing your computer down there's plenty free firewalls available on the net just type in FIREWALLS for a list also AVAST anti virus is free.
Norton AV is not a firewall, its a poor Anti-Virus program that is targeted by many virus writers cos of its popularity, replace with either Kaspersky or Nod32, as for firewall try Sygate or Outpost.
Do not have 2 antivirus systrems! It severly slows down your computer and they don't always work because the two are always competing wwith each other!
