i have AVG for my laptop. it gets free update almost everyday.
Avast AV is MUCH better than AVG!!! It looks in a LOT more places in your computer than AVG and it UPDATES SEVERAL times a day. I have mine set to update when I turn on my puter every day and then to check every 4 hours after that. AVAST has FAR superior Real Time protection to AVG.

I dumped AVG when Avast came out because I got sick of the way AVG was sliding down hill FAST!!! AVG is NOT what it used to be! :(

I've used a LOT of the other online scanners and have found this one to be the best. After all, who wants to rely on ONLY _ONE_ AV database. Viruses come out so fast that just one company will NEVER be able to keep up with them ALL!!!
