I have researched all anti-virus products and the best anti-virus protection is Kaspersky. Kaspersky is the best all-round anti-virus program. NOD32 is just as good if not better, it runs faster and has less software conflicts but may be more difficult to use.

i believe if you were to pay it would either be kapersky or NOD32
AVG. Norton sucks butt. It causes more problems then anything. Also, firefox as a browser is better because there's less holes.

The best is a personal opinion and in mine I would recommened Kaspersky. it isn't that much, but not free.

A free one is AVG, but it is not the best, cause the best you have to pay for, but if you want free you can get AVG from http://free.grisoft.com
