I've been using avast from http://www.avast.com, but there is antivir from http://www.free-av.com, and avg from http://free.grisoft.com. They are popular and depends on personal preference which one you use.

it might not be compatible but avg free edition is pretty good it picked viruses my $40 mcafee virus scanner couldn't find
