What Do You guys Think is the best anti virus for my windows
I don't want to hear about mcafee!! I hate it
Is it avast, avg, tred micro, antivir, or bitdefender???
What is the best Antivirus?adware remover
I have researched all anti-virus products and the best anti-virus protection is Kaspersky. Kaspersky is the best all-round anti-virus program. NOD32 is just as good if not better, it runs faster and has less software conflicts but may be more difficult to use.
Recent tests prove Kaspersky and NOD32 are better than the best sellers Norton and McAfee (av-comparatives.org). Norton is notoriously bloated and takes forever to perform full systems scans.
Trend Micro Antivirus is a viable alternative if you're having a lot of trouble with software conflicts. Trend Micro rounds out the top three. BitDefender is very good as well, but gives a high number of false alarms.
The most popular free anti-virus programs (AVG and Avast) have poor detection rates (82.82%, 87.46% respectively). If you want a free anti-virus Avira has higher detection rates than AVG or Avast! (94.26%).

i agree with the other guy.
I think Avast is ok. Nice looks, and it finds everything. McAfee is awesome, it has site advisor, so it warns you ahead of time about potentially unwanted programs (PUPs), and other bad stuff. Norton is ok, you have to upgrade it eventually, and that's a con. But it is an awesome virus hunter.
The very best on the market right now is the Webroot Anti-Virus program. PC World, PC Magizine and several others score it top in the business. It has all the functions you will need in a program.
Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Anti-phashing, Anti-Hacker, Firewall and several other functions. It cost about $40 but is worth every penny I promise. Good luck.
