i recommend trend micro pc-cillan. it's the only one i have not had come back with problems. easy to use interface and does not take up a lot of resources when active.
AVG, and it is free for individual users.

Norton
I have both Norton Virus and Webroot Spy Sweeper. The Norton let some stuff slip by, but the Spy Sweeper caught it.
I've been using Norton for years.It hasn't given me any complaints so far.
I use Norton Anti-Virus. Also, Microsoft One-Care is pretty-good
