You don't need anti virus or download security measures only if you are connected to the Internet
I'm going to agree with jackel here, if it's not connected to the internet you really don't have to worry.
If it isn't connected to the internet why does it have an anti-virus?

Only thing I can think of short of buying it is to have someone download the latest version and throw it on a cd.
Buy it and install it.
